More Stuff Than You Can Shake A Stick At

I’ve been meaning to post for a while now:

Super encoding program has sooo many options, but I still haven’t got to use it. Also, their site is the worst on the internet. Ever. It’s like it was designed by a 14 year old with only experience for “coding” on myspace pages. If you find the download link you can officially call yourself a PI since your investigation skills are now super.

BTCC in Silverstone on October 15th! WOOT! Can’t wait, it’s gonna be a blast of a day. Pre-ordering is £5 cheaper than on the day tickets and there’s literally twenty odd races from 9-5.

NBS is up to Episode 15 now, along with all our previous episodes I’ve failed to mention. We’ve just recorded 16 and now becomes the more painful problem of finding time to edit it.

Gunbuster is finally finished with Episode 6 out and I still don’t know WTF is going on there. It wasn’t really worth the 3 year wait compared to Macross Zero.

DAT drives don’t make great backups even if they are “drop proof”. I stupidly formatted the wrong disk installing Vista (74GB Raptor or 80GB Seagate! Easy Mistake) and tried to get my stuff off a the Tapes I had recorded. Firstly it needed cleaning and I ran out of cleaning tapes, then one of the disks corrupted a file :( So I’m still looking for a fool-proof solution.

Vista RC1 64bit needs drivers, lacks support. Nuff Said. RC1 is worse than Beta 2 on that front for some reason, and it seems some manufacturers (Netgear) are NOT going to support 64bit software for older equipment forcing upgrades. Bah! Being the digital snob I am, if I’m upgrading OS it’s going to be the full six-four.

This guy is a nutter. There’s no other way to describe it. He should have been sectioned, it’s a miracle he never hit us or anyone else. Yes, he passed my family and I whilst driving at 80 the wrong way down the M4 motorway a lane away from us. We passed cars that had swerved to avoid him and ended up in the central reservation and hard shoulder.

Broken Sword 4 sucks ass, to be honest, but 1 and 2 for a fiver are the best purchases you’ll ever make. It just goes to show, again, that swanky ass graphics don’t make a good game. 4 lacks the whit and cunning the earlier ones had when talking to people, and relies more on overly cryptic things to do rather than a natural progression of talking and trying things the previous ones had. It also lacks Nicole and her sexy French accent (which is significantly better in 3 than 1, haven’t got around to playing 2 yet) which is a catastrophic oversight. I also think George might be a homosexual, no one is that confident, yet that shy when it comes to women and his relationship with his male workmate, with his need to cure his mood is evidence enough imo.

EDIT: Playing it some more, is still recon he’s a closet gay despite sleeping with her. Nico does turn up but with the dodgest accent and character model ever. It’s so clearly an “american putting on a French accent” it’s painful, not sexy.
EDIT2: Is she Irish? American? British? French? I think Nico has been travelling (on a Freelance photographers pay?), or some womans voice acting needs work.
Some things I’ve also reviewed: Asus P5NSLI “not bad for the price”, DFI 975X Infinity “meh”, Sapphire AM2 RD580 “could be better”.

Im also working on the Sondigo Inferno 7.1 soundcard jobbie and I’ve got two words: Kick Ass! Even if it’s almost fractionally not quite as good as an X-Fi, the driver installation and the fact it doesn’t fill your system with a million background processes is a winner here. Expensive, but I want one. After speaking (typing) to the the guy who runs it it’s clear he really knows his shit too!
