Despite what you may think about a guy watching an anime about possessed Dolls, it’s actually really entertaining. It could be argued that it’s actually a measure of ‘comfortability of sexuality’.
Anyhow, the second series is basically an evolved first series where all the sisters come together and fight to become “Alice”, however, again, the second half of the series where they become “all the more serious” about pissing each other off is, as ever, a downstep from the light hearted humour the first 6 episodes throw out. If they could make a “ffumofu” for Rozen Maiden, that would be awesome. Kun-kun stylee.
Whilst on the topic of anime, check out Windy Tales, cause the last 6 episodes are just about to be subbed by Nyanko Fansubs after the first 6 took over a year to come out from other groups. It’s like waiting for your next fix, where the longer you wait the harder it is until eventually you forget about it until someone mentions it again.

Thanks to a couple of mates from Bit forums I was able to code in a rotating picture for the title, and stick a new sub-title in instead of the old one which was about… 4 years old. The alien font is still cool, but unsuited. The pictures are all my own from camera or screenshot, apart from the CSI one. In the backend, Im now running wordpress 2.0 which is really damn nice but you won’t see any difference out here. The rotating pictures add variety and a splash of colour, and allow me to make more and fit them in whenever I feel like.
I want to add a lot more, like a TV show shedule and weekly, recommended anime release updates, as well as more links to the right. Eventually.

I was wrong about Tony, he’s still alive! /wipes brow
Anyone else feel really sorry for Charlie in episode 12 of Season 2 of Lost? And that Locke has lost his edge, after punching C? Hmm, I mean Poor C has had the crappy brother, seen his brothers wife kick him out, seen his brother get relentless second chances with his family? Also, Claire claims “they’ve only known each other 45 days” etc, but surely relationships of greater standing have been built on less, and considering everything he’s done the least she could have done in the first place is try to listen to him (not that C made it easy on himself). You have to admit Dominic Monaghan is an exceptionally convincing actor, mind you, the entire cast just works incredibly well. The casting director needs a hug and a raise by the producers methinks.

Just read in the paper that the cast is now being paid $45k an episode, with Matthew Fox being given an extra $140-odd-k for being in the “prime role”. The good news is, they’ve just started filming season 3, the bad news is that the pay rise also has the condition that any of them could be killed off at any time. At least we know Jack survives into the start of season 3, but as to whether his $140k is a “fairwell gift” or a “please stay with us in Hawaii”, I don’t know.

Isn’t it nice when things get back off the ground again after the festive season is truly over. A couple of weeks now and we’re into new Lost, CSI, Smallville, excetera, again and also new 24! Like a bullet from the gun that could only be Jack Bauer the first 4-episode-in-2-day behemoth of 24 was like nothing else. **Possible Spoiler** Not only do my 3 favourite characters die in about 3 minutes of each other, but the shit yet again hit the fan for Jack (as you’d undoubtedly expect). We’re back to “what the hell’s he gonna do next” with episode 5 now, and in classic 24 style we’ll completely forget what happened in the first 4 hours, about 8-12 hours from now.
Lost, Season 2, back after the break with a killer episode about Eko. My lost faith with a few episodes earlier in the season was fully restored in a single episode. How the writers manage to simultaneously give answers to questions we’ve been asking for ages, yet, inspire more questions about “what the hell is actually going on still?” I don’t know.
**Spoiler** As was in Eko’s episode, it’s been shown to me by others (of whom I totally rely on for my background details in Lost) that that.. uhh.. black cloudy thing was actually reading his memories. If you pause the episode and run it frame by frame it actually shows you images within the smoke.
Oh yea, I cant even begin to describe how good it is being back on a 10Mbit Uni internet connection again
Seeing stuff come off the net onto my harddisk faster than a herd of lemmings jumping on a bandwagon is freakin great.

Im in Middlsex, not doing much, trying to get my head around the work that I should be doing, living in a place where the floor is so bad, it’s unhooverable. Meh. If anyone know’s a nice place to live in Middlesex, preferably Stanmore area, gimme a yell. Ta.

It’s funny how 2006 looks exactly like 2005. And who exactly decided at this point in the earths revolution around the sun will we say this is where we should (roughly) start and end?
Anyhow, things that happened last year and into this:
Harry Potter 4: Crap. I think I’ve had my fill of HP films for this lifetime, there’s so much better out there including the books themselves (so I’ve been told).
King Kong: Seriously long, but I’d never ever had thought myself enjoying a “Kong versus T-Rex” fight. It sounds like something peddled on some crap TV channel for a small ratings hit using well known characters to encourage people to watch. She’d had died long before though, through broken neck, broken ribs, whiplash to name a few. And those guys falling into that canyon: shattered pelvis’ at least. Not that I take a hundred foot gorilla seriously, of course.
Da Vinci Code: Book, not film. I know, very 2003, but I’ve just got around to reading it and like everyone else on the planet cant seem to put it down. I’m never one for ‘fictional’ novels, despite how accurate it claims to be, but this has me reading it at almost every oppotunity. Stick on some Ludovico Einaudi in the background and you have the perfect mood as well. The film, due out next year, on the other hand looks seriously good if the cast alone is anything to go by. I’m a big Jean Reno fan, and Audrey Tautou and Tom Hanks just seal it as a must watch for me. I hope Hollywood doesnt take out some “artistic lisence” and do their own thing like having Langdon whip out a couple of Uzi’s or or a “Kung Fu” fight between the Sister and Silas in the Church, in the name of “entertainment”.
