24 Season 5 and post-Christmas TV

Isn’t it nice when things get back off the ground again after the festive season is truly over. A couple of weeks now and we’re into new Lost, CSI, Smallville, excetera, again and also new 24! Like a bullet from the gun that could only be Jack Bauer the first 4-episode-in-2-day behemoth of 24 was like nothing else. **Possible Spoiler** Not only do my 3 favourite characters die in about 3 minutes of each other, but the shit yet again hit the fan for Jack (as you’d undoubtedly expect). We’re back to “what the hell’s he gonna do next” with episode 5 now, and in classic 24 style we’ll completely forget what happened in the first 4 hours, about 8-12 hours from now.
Lost, Season 2, back after the break with a killer episode about Eko. My lost faith with a few episodes earlier in the season was fully restored in a single episode. How the writers manage to simultaneously give answers to questions we’ve been asking for ages, yet, inspire more questions about “what the hell is actually going on still?” I don’t know.
**Spoiler** As was in Eko’s episode, it’s been shown to me by others (of whom I totally rely on for my background details in Lost) that that.. uhh.. black cloudy thing was actually reading his memories. If you pause the episode and run it frame by frame it actually shows you images within the smoke.
Oh yea, I cant even begin to describe how good it is being back on a 10Mbit Uni internet connection again
Seeing stuff come off the net onto my harddisk faster than a herd of lemmings jumping on a bandwagon is freakin great.
