Happy New Year n all that.

It’s funny how 2006 looks exactly like 2005. And who exactly decided at this point in the earths revolution around the sun will we say this is where we should (roughly) start and end?
Anyhow, things that happened last year and into this:
Harry Potter 4: Crap. I think I’ve had my fill of HP films for this lifetime, there’s so much better out there including the books themselves (so I’ve been told).
King Kong: Seriously long, but I’d never ever had thought myself enjoying a “Kong versus T-Rex” fight. It sounds like something peddled on some crap TV channel for a small ratings hit using well known characters to encourage people to watch. She’d had died long before though, through broken neck, broken ribs, whiplash to name a few. And those guys falling into that canyon: shattered pelvis’ at least. Not that I take a hundred foot gorilla seriously, of course.
Da Vinci Code: Book, not film. I know, very 2003, but I’ve just got around to reading it and like everyone else on the planet cant seem to put it down. I’m never one for ‘fictional’ novels, despite how accurate it claims to be, but this has me reading it at almost every oppotunity. Stick on some Ludovico Einaudi in the background and you have the perfect mood as well. The film, due out next year, on the other hand looks seriously good if the cast alone is anything to go by. I’m a big Jean Reno fan, and Audrey Tautou and Tom Hanks just seal it as a must watch for me. I hope Hollywood doesnt take out some “artistic lisence” and do their own thing like having Langdon whip out a couple of Uzi’s or or a “Kung Fu” fight between the Sister and Silas in the Church, in the name of “entertainment”.
